Now Available We have a limited quantity of these kits currently available for purchase.

Tailvise hardware as designed by Scott Landis and Michael Fortune. The tailvise hardware was featured in The Workbench Book by Scott Landis (The Taunton Press, 1987).

The current hardware is a second production run and was redesigned by Michael Fortune to accommodate a 7/8" double-start acme screw by Record. The hardware is operationally identical to the first version.

The tailvise hardware kit includes:

Record 7/8" double-start acme screw with handle and mounting plates(1)

7/8" double-start acme nut(1)

Grooved upper guide plate(1)

Grooved lower guide plate(1)

Slide plate(1)

All appropriate mounting hardware

Assembly and mounting instructions

The kit requires some simple assembly and does not include any wood.
