Visiting the Store

Are you planning on visiting our store?

• Driving: We have free parking for Atlas customers when they're in the store. It's located in the laneway just south of Queen Street between Duncan and Simcoe, right behind our store.
• Subway: We are a short block west of Osgoode Subway Station (on the Yonge-University-Spadina line) at Queen and University, on the south side of the street.
• Streetcar: We are easily accessable via the Queen Street streetcar - #501.

We also sell replacement parts. We can get parts for products made by our vendors (see our vendor list).

If you're not interested in fixing your own tools, we can take them in for repair by factory authorized repair centers (most repairs include a warranty period).

Note: We are not a hardware store. We do not sell standard fasteners like screws, nails, nuts, bolts, etc. We do not sell materials, adhesives, or paint.

We are capable of shipping products all over the world. For orders placed online, over the phone, or via fax, we can only accept credit card payment for orders shipping to Canada or the Continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii.

For shipments to locations outside of Canada and the US, payment must be via Money Order in Canadian or US funds (subject to currency exchange rates and fees).

Price Matching

Either before making a purchase, or up to twenty-one days after a purchase, any regular advertised price will be matched with the following conditions:

• Item must be identical. Same manufacturer, same model number, same type or generation, same accessories or bonus items.
• Item must be in stock at an authorized branded Canadian dealer, and must be at regular price.
• Item may not be priced on a time-limited, restricted quantity, liquidation, or clear out basis.
• For in-store pick up at Atlas Machinery, and for orders shipped within Southern Ontario, item must be available from a local competitor (within 50km of customer) or the price of next-day shipping will be added to the competitor's advertised price.

If the request is made during purchase the price will be adjusted at the cash register. If the match is requested up to twenty-one days after the purchase, the difference will be refunded in the form of payment originally used, or a store credit will be issued.

We reserve the right to revise this policy at any time without prior notice.

Warranty

Virtually all of our tools carry a manufacturer's warranty. For power tools and machinery, the warranty is typically 1 year against manufacturer's defects, and covers the cost of parts and labour. Hand tools, cutting tools, tool accessories, etc. vary by manufacturer. Please contact us for warranty info on specific products.

Ultimately, we strive for customer satisfaction and are happy to deal with warranty/service issues in a fair and reasonable manner.

Returns

Our return policy varies by manufacturer and tool type. Most power tool companies have a 30 day over-the-counter return policy, which we follow. This is not always the case and other tools are subject to different rules. Please contact us for specific info on returns

All costs associated with returning the product from the customer to Atlas Machinery Supply as well as any manufacturer's restocking fees shall be covered by the customer.

Privacy

Atlas Machinery respects your privacy. We will never sell your information or distribute it to anyone without your conscent.

Your online privacy is also our concern. We use SSL encryption technology to protect your information when it is being transmitted through the internet between your computer, and our server.

Taxes

Taxes are calculated based on the shipping address of the order.

• Ontario - 5% GST, 8% PST
• Quebec and provinces/territories west of Ontario - 5% GST
• Eastern provinces - 13% HST
• Any location outside of Canada - no tax (the customer will be responsible for any taxes, duties, brokerage fees, etc. associated with bringing the shipment across the border, which will be collected by the courier).

Shipping

Atlas Machinery ships orders around the world on a daily basis.

When you order online, you will be quoted a shipping cost estimation via UPS, our standard courier. See the online ordering info page for further info.

We typically ship orders weighing under 150lbs via UPS prepaid (the shipping charge is included on your bill), or we can use Canada Post in certain circumstances.

We can also ship orders on your account with FedEx, Purolator, DHL and CanPar.

Orders over 150lbs must be shipped via frieght. Please contact us for further information/rate quotes.

Delivery

Atlas Machinery can deliver large orders (typically heavy machinery or many power tools) within the city of Toronto during, before, or after business hours. Please contact us for further information, rates and restrictions.

Full payment must be received before an order will be delivered.

For orders purchased over the internet for delivery, the credit card used to make the purchase must be present when the order is dropped off or else the order will not be released (no exceptions).

In-Store pick up

Customers may place an order online, over the phone, or via fax which will be pulled from inventory and set aside for pick up.

• For smaller orders (5 products or less, and under $200 before taxes) of products which are in stock at our downtown store, the order will be pulled and held for three business days. No deposit or credit card will be required. If the order is not picked up after three days, the order will be placed back into inventory.
   
• For larger orders (over 5 products, or over $200 before taxes) of products which are in stock at our downtown store, a credit card number and billing information will be required as a commitment. The card will not be charged. The order will be held for three business days. If the order is not picked up in three business days, the items will be placed back into inventory.
   
• For large items which must be brought from our warehouse, an appointment must be made over the phone to specify a date on which the item will be made available at our Queen Street location. As per above, a credit card number will be required as a commitment.
   
• For special order items, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be charged to the credit card to cover restocking/shipping fees should the customer decide not to purchase the item after it has been ordered.

NOTE: If required, the credit card used to make the order must be present when the items are picked-up or else the order will not be released under any circumstances (no exceptions!).

While the deposit will likely be made via credit card, any type of payment (see below) may be used to pay for the order upon pick up (either the remaining 75% of the original order, or the credit card will be refunded and 100% payment may be made in another form).

• The items you would like to purchase including model/part number, quantity, and a description.
• Your shipping and billing addresses and phone numbers. The billing address must be the address to which your credit card bill is sent.
• Your credit card info. We require the following: card number, expiry date, cardholder's name (as it is written on the card, including middle initials), the bank on which the card is written, the bank's phone number.

General Notes

Adding Products to Your Shopping Cart

You can add products to your shopping cart by browsing to the product, and then entereing a quantity in the box and clicking the "Buy" button. The product will be added to your shopping cart

You may continue to shop after adding a product to your shopping cart. The cart will be saved for you, until you're ready to checkout, or until you close your browser window

Modifying Your Shopping Cart

Click on View Cart at the top right of any page on atlas-machinery.com to see the items you've selected to purchase.

You may change the order quantity of any item in your cart by changing the number in the Quantity column, and then selecting the Modify Cart button below the list of products.

You may remove an item from your cart by selecting the check box in the Remove column, and then selecting the Modify Cart button below the list of products.

Checkout

If you have previously placed an order on our site and registered, please login to continue the checkout proceedure. Your billing and shipping addresses will be retrieved for your convenience.

If you have not previously placed an order online, you may register such that your contact information and order history will be saved for next time. If you do not wish to register simply enter your billing and shipping address(es).

If you are paying with a credit card, the billing address provided must be the address to which your credit card bill is sent. Failure to submit this address will prevent your order from being processed.

The next page will provide a confirmation of your addresses, a list of the items you're going to purchase, the taxes which will be added to your bill, and a shipping quote from UPS.

Shipping

Unfortunately there may be a slight variation in the shipping cost as certain items are quite bulky, or there are slight weight variations between the database on atlas-machinery.com and the actual weight of an item.

If you have any special requests for shipping your order (including having the order shipped on your account) please note the special request in the area provided and we will do our best to accomodate your wishes.

You will be contacted if the shipping price you were quoted is lower than the actual shipping price, or if there are any other issues affecting you receiving your order in a timely fashion.

Including Items Not Found Online

General Notes

If your order can be successfully assembled and shipped without any further info, we will ship the order without contacting you.

If there are any discrepancies such as backordered items, billing or shipping issues, etc., you will be contacted (typically within four hours), and we will work towards getting the order successfully assembled and shipped.

Order Turn-Around Time

Backorders

If an item you've ordered is not currently available, we will contact you to let you know when the product will become available again. Based on this information, you have the following options:

• You may elect to remove the item from your order
• Have us hold your order and ship it complete when the item arrives
• We can ship the items which are currently available immediately, and ship the backordered item when it becomes available.
