Most popular fluting style. Has both right and left hand flutes which combine to produce a chisel type cutting edge.
The chisel edge permits faster penetration and stock removal while the reduced pull of the tool allows better control and reduces operator fatigue.
Chips produced by the double cut are smaller than spiral cut which allows the tool to be run at slower speeds if necessary
