The Shaper Origin is a handheld CNC router – a category of tool we invented almost a decade ago. It has the familiar form factor of a traditional router, with the precision of a high-end CNC machine. You steer Origin following the path on-screen, while it makes small “auto corrections” within a 1,2 cm range, leaving you with perfect results. Cutting joinery, profiles or patterns, and engraving for signage can all be handled directly on-tool, no programming required. It also works with almost any design software you use. SW1-AA OVERVIEW
The Workstation is designed to streamline your workflow and expand Origin’s abilities by offering rapid, repeatable, and precise fixturing of a wide range of stock configurations. Workstation features a reusable ShaperTape field, an easily adjustable shelf for small or difficult-to-fixture workpieces, indexing pins for easy alignment and registration, and an angled fence for aligning stock from 0-45 degrees. These features greatly reduce setup time and make it easier than ever to get cutting quickly.
- Built-in ShaperTape: Origin will automatically recall all designs associated with your Workstation
- T-Track Clamping Face: Use the included clamps, or your own to fixture stock vertically

SCFP1-AJ-NN OVERVIEW
The BenchPilot enables automated, hands-free cutting for Origin (Gen1 and Gen2) so you can focus on other tasks at hand. Clip Origin into BenchPilot and let it drive Origin from point A to point B, while Origin continues to handle the small precision movements. Think of it like autopilot for Origin.
Dimensioned and sized to fit perfectly with Shaper Workstation, BenchPilot creates a gantry-like system with horizontal and vertical milling capabilities – flexible for cutting joinery, inlays, intricate engravings, or profiles. It can also be mounted without Workstation and fit directly to your bench. It’s great for batch work or simply tedious and time-consuming jobs. Best of all, it doesn’t require complicated software, g-code, or other types of CNC programming to operate. If you know how to operate Origin, you’ll know how to operate BenchPilot.

The Shelf Upgrade Kit maximizes the horizontal cutting area with Workstation. With its adjustable support leg, the Shelf Upgrade Kit helps maintain a flat and coplanar surface with the top of Workstation. This large shelf is over 3X bigger than the Shelf Assembly included with Workstation, making it a great candidate when you want to maximize the cuttable area with Workstation.
Whether you’re driving Origin manually or using it with BenchPilot, the Shelf Upgrade Kit is an essential tool to get set up quickly and provide a flat, rigid, work surface.
