The Tenryu Steel-Pro series is purpose-built for cutting mild steel with carbide-tipped blades designed to outperform abrasive discs in speed, cleanliness, and longevity. The PRF-41580D handles a broad range of ferrous metal stock — steel studs, sheet, pipe, channel, and threaded rod — on low RPM dry-cut chop saws, and is also rated for IMP (insulated metal panel) cutting on beam saws such as the Makita 5402NA and SKIL SPT70V11. Tenryu's C-6 grade carbide formulation, combined with an inserted-tooth geometry, delivers significantly longer blade life compared to standard carbide grades or abrasive wheels, while drastically reducing sparks and abrasive dust on the job site.
Features:
- Specially formulated C-6 carbide grade resists tip breakage on impact, outlasting standard carbides and abrasive discs by a substantial margin
- Inserted-tooth geometry improves tip security, cutting efficiency, and overall durability under demanding load conditions
- TCG (Triple Chip Grind) tooth profile optimized for clean cutting of ferrous metals including mild steel studs, sheet, pipe, channel, and threaded rod
- Cuts 5 to 10x faster than abrasive discs and can outlast 15 to 30 abrasive wheels per blade — significantly reducing downtime from blade changes
- Drastically reduces spark production compared to abrasive disc cutting, improving jobsite safety and respiratory health
- Compatible with low RPM dry-cut chop saws for general mild steel cutting; also rated for IMP (insulated metal panel) cutting on beam saws including the Makita 5402NA and SKIL SPT70V11
