Overview:
The Amana 51410-K is a CNC-only solid carbide spiral 'O' single-flute router bit designed specifically for cutting acrylic, Plexiglas, Lucite, and other plastics with a glass-smooth mirror finish. Made from sub-micrograin carbide and polished using Amana's proprietary edge process, the single-flute design dramatically increases feed rates while delivering chip-free cuts with no melting or chatter. Spektra Extreme Tool Life nACo coating extends tool life up to 2.5 times over uncoated bits, perfect for high-volume sign shops, display fabricators, and acrylic cabinet specialists.
Features:
- Solid carbide single-flute spiral 'O' design optimized for plastic cutting
- Mirror-finish polished cutting edge eliminates melting, chatter, and rough edges in acrylic
- Spektra nACo nanocomposite coating delivers extreme nanohardness and heat resistance
- Coating provides approximately 4,500 Vickers hardness on cutting areas
- Single-flute geometry permits faster feed rates than multi-flute designs
- Up-cut helix ejects chips up and away from the workpiece
- Sub-micrograin carbide for fine cutting edges and long tool life
- Right-hand helix, right-hand cut
- Specifically engineered for sign-making, display fabrication, and luthier work

Compatible Materials:
- Acrylic (Plexiglas, Lucite)
- Polycarbonate (Lexan — use slowest feed rates and shortest bit possible)
- PVC, ABS, polypropylene
- Polyoxymethylene (Acetal, Polyacetal, Polyformaldehyde / POM)
- Corrugated plastics (Correx and similar twinwall PP)
- Foam board (Gatorfoam and similar polystyrene cores)
- Decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL)
- Wood (secondary application)
Warnings:
- CNC USE ONLY — for use only on CNC machines and routers with automatic feeding. Not suitable for handheld or table-mounted manual routers.
- Due to the small 1/8in diameter, this bit is not guaranteed against breakage
- Router collet reducer RB-102 (1/4in to 1/8in) may be required for routers with larger collets
- Blue-based coating colour dissipates upon use; nACo nanocomposite coating itself remains effective and will not wear off
